Just a little lunch, but the National Portrait Gallery Café deserves a little mention as a GF-friendly stop off on the tourist route due to stocking a range of gluten free lunch options including sandwiches, soup, crisps, frittata and cake. Yes you heard me right- sandwiches!
I had an egg mayonnaise & spring onion sarnie which I speculated was on Warburton’s bread as it was slightly dry, but had good flavour; compensated for by the creamy mayo. Not bad and it was really nice to have the option!
Prices are expensive due to the touristy location (£18 for lunch for 3 of us), but service from the bustly friendly lady was great.
